Lyridia (Lyrie) Rigodon (nee Lelina) peacefully went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2020 at 68 years of age.Lyrie, as she was fondly called, is survived by her loving husband, Arturo Rigodon, and son, Richard (Ricky) Castillo. She is the beloved grandmother of Madeline (Maddie) and Megan Castillo. Daugher of Lorena Lelina and sister of Billy and Clarissa. She was predeceased by her son, Jerome (Castillo), father Domingo Lelina and siblings Nelson and Grace.After obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at University of Pangasinan, Lyrie began her nursing journey as a staff nurse at Virgen Milagrosa Medical Center, Philippines. She continued to be a very dedicated and respected nurse at Resurrection Medical Center Chicago and at Alden Estates of Northmoor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Lyrie dedicated 45 years of service as a frontline nurse with compassion and with grace.In lieu of flowers, we graciously request for a kind donation to her husband, Arturo Rigodon.Due to the current health guidelines we are limited to 50 attendees at a time. If you attend the visitation, we kindly ask that you quickly exit the funeral home after paying your respects to the family so that all visitors have an opportunity to enter. Masks required at all times. NO food or beverages are allowed, as our lounge area will remain closed to ensure proper social distancing.Visitation Wednesday Oct. 14, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
