Lucine Mastalerz

Dr. Lucine H. Mastalerz, Ed.D., (nee Loui), 66, of Chicago, IL entered the Gates of Heaven on May 20, 2016 surrounded by her family. Born on April 1, 1950 to the late Phil and Irene Loui. She is survived by her husband Stan, her children Irene Heidelbauer (Mike Abran), Rudy (Sarah), David (Kim) and the late Peter and Angeline. Grandmother to Peter, Jacob, Theodore, Stas, Rosalie, and Luke. Sister of Greggory (Carol), Claudia (Tom) and dearly loved by Ann. Aunt and Great Aunt to many wonderful kids. Lucine was a lifelong Catholic educator. Her life’s focus was putting children first. She began her career as a high school teacher and became a principal in 1988. She received her doctorate in 1999 from Roosevelt University. Most recently, she has been the principal of St. Ferdinand School for the past 12 years. Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, IL. Funeral Services begin Friday 9:00 am, at the funeral home, and will proceed to St. Ferdinand Church for Mass 10:00 am.
