Luba Palahniuk

Luba Palahniuk, nee Kasianchuk, age 90, passed away on August 30, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Luba was the beloved wife of the late Wasyl for over 50 years; loving mother of Andrew (Cheryle) Palahniuk, Motria (Andres) Durbak, Roman and the late Mark Palahniuk; cherished grandmother of Mark (Chelsea Dirks) Palahniuk, Antin Durbak, Kalyna (Alex Mykyta) Durbak, Jennifer, Scott (Matti) and Kathleen (Alan Avila) Palahniuk; great grandmother of Mitchell and Faye; dear sister of the late Andriy (the late Olha) and Ivan Kasianchuk, Nina (the late Dmytro) Bilocerkowycz and Nadia (the late Wasyl) Wanshula. She was a fond aunt of many. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 4, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services Thursday, friends and family are asked to meet at St. Joseph the betrothed Ukrainian Catholic Church 5000 N.
