Louis E. Niedorkorn, 86, WWII Navy veteran, of Park Ridge, formerly of Norridge; Kind and loving husband of Santa nee Rincione; Proud father of Guy (Judy) and Gary (Judy); Loved grandfather of Amy (Grant) Stephansen, Jill (Eric) Leone, Kim (Justin) Nelson, Stacy (Joe) Milam and Joshua Niedorkorn; great-grandfather of Joey, Tyler, Dominic, McKenzie, Johnathan and Baby Stephansen; Dear brother of Marilyn Glowinski; Fond uncle and friend to many; Special thanks to his caretaker, Biruta, for her outstanding care. Upon returning from the service, Lou became a licensed electrician and a member of Local 134 for over sixty years. During his tenure with the union, one of his jobs was operating the beacon on the top of the Palmolive Building. On cold winter nights, he looked down at the Drake Hotel and thought it must be a nice place to work. He then landed a job at the Drake and after twenty years retired there as the chief electrician.Visitation Sunday July 7th from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral service will begin Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and proceed to Divine Savior Church in Norridge for 9:30 a.m. Mass. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
