Lona K. Tritthardt-Palmer, a loving partner, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 60 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by love and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Born on August 20, 1965, in Chicago. She was known for her warm heart, gentle nature, and unwavering support of those she loved. She also knew how to live life fully—she loved Friday night dance parties, absolutely adored animals, and had a fearless spirit that often led her to “risk it all” just to get close to wildlife, creating stories and memories that will be cherished forever. Despite her illness, Lona faced each day with grace and remarkable strength. She showed resilience, hope, and courage throughout her journey, inspiring everyone around her. She is survived by her loving partner, Karl; children, Ashley (Lane), Matthew (Jessica); mother, Donna; siblings, Laurie, Lynn (Carol), Tom; nephew, Gunner (Andrew); grandchildren, Beau, Judson, Everly, Amelia and many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence. Her love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind, and her memory will forever be cherished. There will be a memorial visitation on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, from 12:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 3:30 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave Norridge, IL 60706. The family asks that donations be made in her memory to Orphans of the Storm. Her love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind, and her memory will forever be cherished.
