Linda Frederick

Linda Carol Frederick passed away peacefully at the age of 76 surrounded by her three children.  Linda was born on January 12, 1947 in Chicago.  She was known for her sense of humor, patriotism, and generosity.  As a single mother, she held many jobs throughout her lifetime, including secretary, beautician, cleaning lady, and cashier at Farmer's Market on Elston.  She held many talents including singing, baking, craft parties with her many grandchildren, and entertaining her friends and families.  Linda had incredible wit, an infectious laugh, a zest for life, and an unconditional love for her family and friends. Linda was a loving mother of Robert (Maureen), Randall (Margaret), and Ellen (Daniel) Wheeler; beloved daughter of the late Harry and Lillian Hansen nee Zakis; fond grandmother of Hailey (Dannon) Anderson, Regina Frederick, Courtney Frederick, Anita Frederick, Emily Wheeler, and Ashley Wheeler; great grandmother of Ivy Anderson; loving sister of Lili (Bill) Lepola, Gayle Hansen and the late Harriet (the late Ernie) Loberg, Jackie (the late John) Wallace, and Harry Hansen; loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels at 8300 W. Lawrence Ave Norridge, IL 60706.  Funeral Services begin on Friday at the funeral home at 9:00 am and will proceed to Irving Park Lutheran Church in Chicago for a Service at 10:30 am.  Interment is private.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).  For more information please call 708-456-8300.
