Linda Clouse, age 77, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025.
Linda was the beloved wife of nearly 37 years to Stephen. She was a devoted sister to the late Barbara (Erv) Dahl, and she will be fondly remembered by her extended family, many friends, and the countless lives she touched through her generosity and kindness. This includes her nephews Drew (Sarah) and Henry, her niece Olivia, and her great-nephew and nieces Oliver, Sabrina, Amy and Mia. To them, Linda was more than an aunt—she was a guiding, calm and loving presence who treated them as if they were her own.
Linda lived a rich and meaningful life filled with dedication to her community, professional excellence, and cultural passion. A graduate of York High School in Elmhurst, Illinois (Class of 1965) and Lakeland College in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Linda went on to build a successful career as a Senior manager of Human Resources at the renowned J. Walter Thompson advertising agency.
Her life abroad in Florence, Italy, where she lived for 15 years, was marked by leadership and service as President of the American International League of Florence, a women’s charitable organization with over two hundred members. In addition, Linda shared her love of the arts as a docent at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida. She and Stephen made their homes between Chicago, and Sarasota, embracing each community fully.
Linda’s warmth, intellect, and devotion to helping others will be remembered always.
