Linda Bencal, age 79, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2024. Linda was the dear daughter of the late Annette and Walter Bencal; loving sister of Valerie (the late Robert) Bastian, Kenneth (Adriann) Bencal, Judy (Guy) Niedorkorn and the late Walter Robert (Ann) and the late Donald (the late Pamela) Bencal; fond aunt, great aunt and great great aunt of many.
Linda cherished her family. She was not only a loving daughter, sister and aunt, she became a second mom to her siblings' children. Throughout her entire journey, she brought joy to all of us, made everyone laugh with her stories, and always showed remarkable strength and bravery. With a family of our size, she hardly had time to herself. Linda showed up as a cheerleader to as many sporting events and school events for her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews that she possibly could. Her infectious laugh and kind heart will truly be missed.
Memorial visitation Saturday, January 4, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of a 3:30 p.m. Funeral Service at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. The interment will be held privately at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles. For more information call (708)456-8300.
