Leonidas Bilissis

Leonidas "Leo" Bilissis, age 88, passed away on February 8, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Leo was the beloved husband of Linda, nee Dover, for 53 wonderful years; loving father of Paula (Robert) Thomas and Christos (Tammy Neuzil) Bilissis; dearest son of the late Panagiota and Christos Bilissis; cherished grandfather of Leah and Austen Thomas, Elle and Leo Bilissis, Brandon Stieg and Breona and Lexi Hall; dear brother of Christos (the late Violet), the late Kostas (Dimitra), the late George (Panagiota) and the late Bill (Georgia) Bilissis; fond uncle of many. Leonidas was the former Mayor of Megalopolis Greece, a member of the Pan Arcadian Federation of America, the Megalopolis Society of Chicago and the Shriners of America. Visitation Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church 7373 N. Caldwell, Niles, IL for a Greek Orthodox Service at 10:30 a.m. The interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove. For more information call (708)456-8300.
