Leonard J Smid, age 81. Beloved husband of the late Catherine “Kay” nee Mirabella. Loving father of Lenny A., Daniel (Livia), Carol Smid, Michael (Gina) and Tom (Mia) Smid. Cherished grandfather of Lenny, Daniella, Christopher, Christina, Michael, Nicholas and Mason. Great grandfather of Alyssa. Fond uncle and friend of many. He was preceded death by his brothers and sisters. Visitation Monday March 9 from 4 to 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral Tuesday 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home and will then proceed to St. Vincent Ferrer Church in River Forest for Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
