Leonard Schmidt

Leonard Schmidt, 98, passed away September 5, 2021. Beloved husband of Donna Jean for 73 wonderful years. Loving father of Donna (Greg) Dittmar, Patricia (Bill) Kolettis, John (Nancy) Schmidt, Lawrence (Katie) Schmidt. Cherished grandfather of Jeffery, Steven, Jason, Jaclyn, Diana, Katelyn, Andrew, Elizabeth, Jonathan, Emily, Daniel, Sofia, Noelle, Isabelle, the late Benjamin. Great grandfather of five. Dear brother of the late Annie, Andrew, John, Katy, and Helen. Fond uncle of many. Leonard was a veteran of the Army Air Force and proudly served his country during World War II. He was a member of the Brewmaster’s Association, a brewmaster at Drewry’s Brewery, and a Lane Tech Alumni. Visitation will be Monday, September 13, from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 12 Noon, at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence, Norridge. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
