Lee Ray Gehrke

Lee Ray Gehrke "Chief", age 91, U.S. Army Veteran and Air Force Veteran, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by his family on October 20, 2026. Lee was the beloved husband of Geraldine B. "Gerry" (nee Piszczek) for 56 wonderful years; loving father of Dorie (Dave) Howell, Debbie (Pete) Venegas, Jeff Gehrke (Kim Christianson), Robert Gehrke, Connie (Scott) Sierzega, Bonnie Plummer, Pamela (Angelo) Kourelis and the late Michael (Chunga) Gehrke; dear son of the late Margaret and Charlie Gable; cherished grandfather of 22; great grandfather of many; dearest brother of the late Florence Kraft, and brother in-law of Ronald (Sharon) Piszczek, Joyce (the late John) Favia and Andrea Jucha (Fred Frazzini), and he was a fond uncle of many.

Lee was the former Chief of Police with the City of Northlake. 

Visitation Monday, October 26, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Friends and family will gather by 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home, for a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago.
