Lawrence "Larry" Anthony Fumarolo, age 75, passed away Friday, June 12th, 2020 due to complications from COVID-19 and renal failure. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, uncle, father, papa, and friend. He adored his 13 “weasels” and had nicknames for everyone from his own parents to his siblings, his children and grandchildren and friends. He was very clever in giving fitting nicknames to many that were close to him and often enjoyed teasing people in a loving manner.Larry was born on May 4, 1945 in Chicago moving to Bellwood at age 9, and graduating from Proviso West High School. Larry was always proud of being one of the few “Golden Key” Art award recipients in New York during his high school years. He loved history during school and would still enjoy watching anything involving history, animals and gangster movies. During high school, Larry was part of The Cozy Corner Social Club, where he eventually met his wife, Camille. After high school, Larry served in the Navy for two years helping man the USS Saratoga during the Six Day War in 1967. Larry worked at Walgreens Headquarters in Deerfield for 31 years. He started out as a fork lift driver and ended his career as a systems analyst. Simultaneously, Larry and his wife Camille were true business partners in real estate. For the span of 50 years (starting when he was only 25), Larry owned apartment buildings in Berwyn and Riverside, then transitioned to condo (Wheaton) and eventually owned and managed retail and office properties in the Chicago suburban area. Another personal hobby of Larry’s was being an extra in TV shows such as Untouchables to hosting and having a small part in the movie ‘Even Trade.’Lawrence (Larry) Fumarolo was: Son of Lawrence E.
