Krystyna ‘Krys’ Johnsen, 66, passed away June 7, 2019. Loving wife of Dennis for nearly 40 years. Beloved daughter of the late Kazimierz and Leokajda Wieslaw. Dear sister of Czeslaw (Mary) Wieslaw, Lucyna (Kazimierz) Szymanowska, Irena, nee Wieslaw (Leszek) Ziolek. Wonderful aunt of Barbara Kowalski, Krystina Deckys, Arthur Ziolek, Mark Ziolek, Leszek Wieslaw, Anna Wieslaw, Paul Wieslaw, Reneta Popielnicki, Christopher Szymanowski. Krys was an avid gardener, loved teddy bears, worked hard, was witty, intelligent, and had a smile that could light up a room. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Funeral will begin on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, then proceed to St. Rosalie Catholic Church, Harwood Heights, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Info: 708-456-8300
