Kenneth John Burger, Sgt. C.P.D. Retired, U.S. Navy Veteran of Korea, Canine Trainer, age 88, passed away on July 9, 2019. Ken was the beloved husband of Leona, nee Sadorf, for 62 wonderful years; loving father of Jeffrey J. Burger and Leslie C. (Michael Maddaloni) Marshall; dearest son of the late Edythe and John Burger; dear brother of the late Lorraine (the late Bill C.P.D. Retired) Joseph and brother in-law of John (the late Norine) Sadorf; fond uncle of Reverend Curt (Lisa) Joseph and a great uncle to many. Ken is survived by his beloved canines Mark, Nitro and Jax. He was a founding member of the North American Police Work Dog Association NAPWDA, since 1977, and he earned the title of Lifetime Master Trainer. Kenny was a loyal friend and mentor to hundreds of canine handler teams, and heaven has gained the best man to be the guardian for the rainbow bridge.
