Kenneth James Bencal

Kenneth Bencal, born October 16, 1951, to late parents, Annette and Walter, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, surrounded by loving family.

Ken was the beloved husband of Adriann (née Allegretti); loving father of Michael (Becky), Nicole (Matthew) Boice, and Anthony (Rima); cherished grandfather of Colin, Olivia, Jax, Vivian, Carter, Tessa and Easton. Beloved brother of the late Walter (Ann), Valerie (the late Robert) Bastian, the late Linda, the late Donald (the late Pamela), and Judy (Guy) Niedorkorn. He was the fond son-in-law of late Camille and John Allegretti and dear brother-in-law of the late Daniel (Margaret), Deborah (Michael) McIntyre, Thomas and John. He was a dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Ken spent much of his career with Mars, Inc., and proudly served in the United States Army. Away from work, he was a devoted Chicago sports fan, particularly when it came to the Bears and White Sox. He especially loved watching his children and grandchildren play the sports they loved, and cheering them on was one of his greatest joys.

More than anything, Ken leaves behind the stories, laughter, and memories of a family who loved him deeply. Those who knew him will miss his humor, his presence, and simply having him there. The love he gave his family and the memories they made together will remain with them always.
