"Above all, Kelly was committed to his family" As a husband and father, Kelly John Tyrrell, 62, a loving man with a generous heart, at peace with Christ, Sunday July 30, 2017. Beloved husband of 31 years to Roseanne, loving father of Amanda Tyrrell (Andrew) Grosdidier and Sean Kelly Tyrrell. Beloved son of the late Tom and Mary Tyrrell. Dear brother of Tom (Debbie) Tyrrell, Candace (Don) Pydo, John (Connie) Tyrrell, and Jim Tyrrell. Cherished brother in-law, uncle, and loyal friend to many. Kelly was a graduate of Loyola Academy High School and Loyola University in Chicago. He had a life long career in Governmental Affairs highlighted by his start with the Insurance Committee with Senator Phil Rock just out of college and culminating with his long association with CenterPoint Properties. Kelly’s career in the political arena encompassed legislative sessions in Springfield and friendships that lasted a lifetime. During his ten plus years as a consultant at CenterPoint Properties, he created a loyal group of friends that became more than just colleagues. Kelly was known by his friends and family as “the guy that could help anyone get a job”. He viewed life as a “game of addition not subtraction”. And because of that, Kelly had friendships going back 50 years and friendships at every Walgreens, dry cleaners, and store he frequented! He did not hesitate to get fully involved in helping anyone that he could. Above all, Kelly was committed to his family. Having lost his parents as a teenager, he had a bond with his siblings Tom, Candy, John, and Jim that was much stronger than most. He was loved and involved with all of his nieces and nephews. As a father and husband, Kelly found his greatest reward in his children Amanda and Sean. His love was matched only by his pride in them. They carry forward the best qualities of their father; warm, loving, generous hearts. Married 31 years, Kelly was dedicated to his wife Roseanne and the family they created; spending their best family moments in his beloved summer home in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Kelly’s legacy will carry forward through the love and kindness he shared with all of his family and friends.
