Kathleen Yoshida

Kathleen Yoshida (nee Winiecki), age 77, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth. She was a devoted wife to the late Kyuko Yoshida, with whom she shared a beautiful 55-year marriage. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Kathleen was the cherished daughter of the late Raymond J. Winiecki Sr. and Adeline (nee Baron) Winiecki.

A loving mother and grandmother, Kathleen's heart belonged to her daughters, Kristin (Cory) Lapinski and Karen Yoshida. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Bryce and Adeline Lapinski, who brought her immense joy.

Kathleen was also a beloved sister, remembered fondly by her siblings: Elaine (the late Bill) Simpson, Rita (the late Carl) Snyder, and Daniel (Margie) Winiecki. She is predeceased by her brother, the late Raymond J. (surviving Lisa) Winiecki Jr. A treasured aunt to many, her kindness and caring nature impacted numerous lives, creating bonds that will endure.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Kathleen's life during the visitation on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cumberland Chapels, located at 8300 W. Lawrence Ave, Norridge, IL 60706. The Funeral Services will commence on Tuesday at the funeral home at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Hope at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
