Katherine Hayden

Katherine Regina Hayden (nee Bogner), 98, entered eternal life on February 19, 2016. Loving wife of the late John; Beloved daughter of the late John and the late Anna Bogner; Dear sister of Marianne (Roy) Murray, the late Elizabeth (the late Joseph) Schultz, the late Anna (the late James) Morreale, the late Dorothy (the late Mathew) Mann, the late Nicholas, the late Frank (the late Betty) Bogner and the late Peter (Jacqueline) Bogner; Beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews, and a treasured friend to all who knew her. Kay was born in Glen Ullin, North Dakota and spent her childhood and adult life in Chicago. Kay had a strong work ethic and retired from Illinois Bell Telephone. After retirement, Kay returned to work for Unity Savings and Loan and Talman Bank. Kay generously shared her time and talent, volunteered for her church, Divine Savior in Norridge, IL, and delivered communion to residents at Central Baptist Nursing Home. Kay cherished her family and was like a second mom to her nieces and nephews. Visitation Monday Feb. 22nd from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral service begins Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home proceeding to Divine Savior Church for 10:30 a.m. Mass. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
