Great Grandmother of Alex Heinzl, Kyra Heinzl, Tristan Heinzl, Lucas Doscher, Aurora Joyce Doscher and Josephine Doscher. Survived by special friend George Michael of Minneapolis, MN. Joyce is remembered by many loving friends. Joyce was a strong and courageous woman who raised her children as a single mom during a time when that was not the norm. She went to work in the banking industry where she was a role model for many women to find successful and meaningful careers in banking and finance beyond being a teller. In 1970 she was selected by Parkway Bank to open the First State Bank of Chicago. Four years later she was appointed to the position of assistant cashier at the Bank of Commerce and Industry where she was responsible for all bank operations and personnel. She was known for always ending a note with Tnx! She left banking to pursue a career in the meat packing industry where she was responsible for the day to day operations of several businesses. It was there that she met John Luciani and found happiness until his sudden death in 1985. Joyce’s greatest loves were her children, grandchildren, animals and music. She never waivered in her devotion to her family. Holiday meals were a source of joy and contentment for family and many friends she welcomed into her home. She was generous, kind, compassionate, optimistic, reliable, faithful, nurturing, wise and above all loving. Joyce made many friends throughout her lifetime with her outgoing, fun loving demeanor and warm smile that came from her soul. Joyce sang with the Des Plaines Harmonaires and Spirit of Life Chorus. A woman of great faith, she was always seen wearing her “Try God” pendant. Thank you for all your love…we will miss you mom.
