Joseph J. Vlach, age 74, at rest on March 1, 2025. Originally from Berwyn, Joe moved to the western slopes of Colorado 13 years ago. Joe was a retired licesed CPA. He last worked as the finance director for the Town of Palisade, CO.
Joe was a devoted husband to Laura; dear brother to Frank (Vern), Dorothy (John), and his late sisters Anne and Rose; brother in-law to Michael (Leslie), Richard (Carol) Julie and Andrea (Anthony). Joe loved and was very proud of all his nieces, nephews and their extended families. Truly interested in their lives he asked about them every chance he could. Steve, Paul (Kim), Karen (Dave), Jean (Colin), Jeff (Amanda), Christine (Drew and godson Sam), Michael, Jacque (Ryan), John (Jes), Andrew, Kendra (Lawrence), Anne Marie, Cosmo, Clara and Andrea. Special thanks to Jacque Satterfield (Ryan, Giulia, Ellie) and John Goldberger for making the move to Colorado with us and making so many memories. Also missing him are his two rescue cats Bugsy and Buttercup. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at aspca.org/ways-to-give would be appreciated.
A memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday March 25, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. The inurnment will be private at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. For more information call (708)456-8300.
