Joseph R. Vendegna, (Bud), age 86, U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean war, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline, (nee Cucinella) for 64 years; loving father of Darlene, (Peggy Guare), Diane Stuckrath (the late Robert), Joseph and Victor. Cherished grandfather of Matthew and Brian (Angie Laplant), great grandfather of Nathan, Reznor and Arya. Dearest son of the late Rocco and Mildred Vendegna. Brother of the late Ronald (the late Judith) and Richard (Karen). Fond uncle and cousin to many and enjoyed many friends. He was a Journeyman for the printing industry for many years and was proud of his work. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. Bud was loved by all and will be terribly missed. Visitation Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL . Funeral services begin Monday, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will proceed to St. Maria Goretti Church in Schiller Park for Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment Private.
