Joseph Szandra, M.D., Age 97. Pediatrician for over 45 years with Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Beloved husband of Luboslawa nee Kurylowycz for 71 years. Loving father of Diana Roxsolana (Dr. Wolodymyr) Minkowycz, Renata Motria Szandra and Lisa Violet (George) Sambor. Cherished grandfather of Liliana Minkowycz, Adria (Caleb) Rich, Daniel and Hannah Sambor. Fond uncle of many. He is also survived by family members in Ukraine and Australia. He was preceded in death by his five brothers. Visitation Friday, July 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Panachyda 7:00 p.m) at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge. Funeral Saturday 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Joseph Ukrainian Catholic Church for Mass 10:30 a.m. Entombment St. Nicholas Mausoleum.
