Joseph “Joe” Skworch unexpectedly passed away on September 5, 2024 at the young age of 37. Beloved husband of Maryam. Loving son of Terry and Vera. Dear brother of Nicole (Antonio Sanchez) and Tanya (Cody McGraw). Fond uncle of Lyla, CJ, and Nora. Beloved nephew of Mike and Maria Osyka. Favorite cousin of Matej and Laryssa. Proud “pop-pop” to his feathered children Mika, Jobe, Java, and Mocha. Joe was born in the city of Maywood on January 27, 1987. He attended the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana where he obtained a degree in Finance. Joe continued his work in finance, tax preparation, and mastering his skills in mixology. His career began at TGI Friday’s in high school and continued to many other concepts such as Tavern on the Point, The Walnut Room, and Chicago White Sox. Joe followed in his father’s footsteps and also prepared taxes for Loberg and Associates. His laughter and wittiness changed the whole world. Everyone gravitated to his humor. His smile and selflessness are qualities that endeared him to the people he encountered. His adventures around the world with his beloved wife were what kept him living his life to the fullest. Joe was an avid sports fan, with his love of the Tennessee Titans, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Bulls.

Visitation for Joe will take place on Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. (Panachyda service at 6:30 pm) Funeral Friday, beginning at the funeral home at 9:30 am at the funeral home and then proceed to
St. Joseph the Betrothed Ukrainian Catholic Church for 10:15 am Service. Interment will be private.
