Joseph Sabath

Joseph Sabath, age 96, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2020 after a brief illness. He was born on December 26, 1923 in Sniatynka in the district of Drohobych, Ukraine to the late Basil and Elizabeth (Blawyciak) Sabath and was the youngest of eight children. Beloved husband of 70 years to the late Katherine nee Moloczij. Cherished father of Irene (Dean) DeNicolo and Gerald. Loving grandfather of Jennifer (Scott) Nolan and Daniel. Proud great grandfather of Allison and Joseph. Dear brother of the late Yaroslov (Stephanie) of New York and was preceded in death by six siblings in the Ukraine. Dearest friend and brother-in-law to Joseph and the late Virginia Moloczyj. Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a kind, loving and beautiful man of deep religious faith, a founding parishioner of St. Joseph Ukrainian Church, a skilled and talented Union Carpenter of Local #1, proud of his Ukrainian Heritage and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
