Joseph was born on August 27, 1936 in Sannicandro di Bari, a town in the Metropolitan City of Bari, Apulia in southern Italy to the late Domenico Giannone and the late Rocca Giannone (nee Di Turi). Beloved husband of Beatrice Giannone. Loving father of Rocchina (Jack) Zaccaro, Maria (Rino) DeFrenza and the late Mimmo and the late Domenic Giannone. Cherished nonno of Serafina (Dan) Abernathy, Girolamo (Gianna) Zaccaro and Kayla (Christopher) Collins. Dear great nonno of Charli Serafina Abernathy and Lorenzo Lewis Zaccaro. Fond brother of Frank (Tina) Giannone, Teresa (Rocco) Clarizio and the late Nicola (the late Pastora) Giannone. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Joseph will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. The funeral will then proceed to Holy Virgin Martyrs Parish at St. Beatrice Church in Schiller Park, Il. for 12:00 Noon Mass. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, Il.
