Jose Orlando Nuñez, 60, passed away April 1, 2019. Beloved husband of Sofia Alvarado for 38 wonderful years. Loving father of Ramon Oyoque, Jesus Nuñez, Alyssa (Joseph) Oquendo, Sofia (Rick) Gonzales, Jose O. Nuñez Jr, and Norma Nuñez. Beloved son of Norma Rodriguez and the late Wilder Nuñez. Fond grandfather of Alexandra, Matthew, Ayden, Joshua, Joseph, Jonathan, and Noah. Dear brother of Audrey (Jesus) Molina, Norma (Ulysses) Alonzo, Marisol (Elias) Rivera, the late Walter Rochet. Fond uncle of many. Visitation will be Friday, April 5, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. Funeral will begin Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, then proceed to St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Schiller Park, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Committal Service to follow at Acacia Park Cemetery.
