Jonathan "Jon" Colon passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, at the age of 52. His battle with serious medical issues over the last ten years showed his courage and resilience. Despite constant setbacks, Jon stayed strong until the end.
Jon had been with his wife, Shawna, for the past 31 years. Together they had two beautiful children, Amber and Tristan. His infectious personality and humor will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Jon's life will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 12:30pm to 3:30pm, at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. In lieu of traditional mourning, Jon requested that we come together to share memories about the amazing life he had. We encourage participants to wear Jon's favorite color, purple.
