John Westley

John Francis Westley, Age 62, passed away suddenly on Saturday Jan. 11, 2014. Beloved husband of Christine Devitt Westley. Loving father of Mike Westley, dear step-father of Sr. Mary Agnes (Katie) Devitt, Michael Devitt and Tommy Devitt. Devoted son of Dr. Richard and Ethel Westley. Dear brother of Tom (Carol) Westley, Rich (Paula) Westley, Rob Westley, Clare Westley and Ruth (late Tim) Hagen. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. John was a graduate of The School of Law at Loyola University of Chicago. After receiving his J.D. he worked for the Cook County Public Defender’s office for 10 yrs. before opening his own law firm in Chicago. Visitation Sunday January 19 from 2 to 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Panachyda (prayer service) Sunday 5:30 p.m. Funeral Monday 9:30 a.m. from Cumberland Chapels, and then will proceed to St. Joseph the Betrothed Ukrainian Catholic Church for Services at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
