John Francis Shanley age 89, of Norridge. WW II Navy Veteran. Beloved husband of Kathleen nee Kelly for 58 years. Loving father of Mary (Robert) Aloisio, Noreen Shanley, Barbara (the late Rick Osowski) Shanley, Kathleen (Dan) McAleer, John Shanley and Kevin (Mary Kay) Shanley. Fond grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 3. Dear brother of Mary (the late Gene) Grand, the late Charles (Betty) (the late Jane) Shanley and the late James Shanley. Fond uncle and friend of many. in lieu of flowers donations to Rainbow Hospice or Hines Veterans Hospital would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge. Funeral Monday beginning at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. and then proceeding to Divine Savior Church for 10:30 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow with military honors at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
