John D. Mark, age 85. Division superintendent of Cook County Forest Preserve for 30 years and retired SOO Line Railroad Engineer for 11 years. Veteran of United States Airforce 8th Fighter Group. Beloved husband of Mary Mark nee Theodosakis for 63 years; loving father of John C. (Laura) Mark, Thomas A. (Mary) Mark, Nancy A. (David) Pilarczyk; beloved son of the late Loren and Thelma Mark nee Rosset; fond grandfather of Jonathan, Melissa, Jeremy, Benjamin, Noelle, and Abbey; dear brother of Barbara, Maynard and the late Jerry and Gloria; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and a cherished friend of many. Visitation Thursday 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral Friday family and friends to meet at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 8600 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, IL. Lying in state from 9:00 am until time of Service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove.
