Dr. John M. Green, Age 86. Beloved Husband of Ava Maria, nee Hayes for 57 years. Loving Father of Dr. Christopher, J. (Mary Beth), Dr. John M. Jr. (Mary), Dr. Gavin J. (Katie), Ave Maria Green “Elizabeth Lilly”, Hugh J. (Victoria Schreiber). Dear Grandfather of Christopher, Garrett, Kayla & Maggie Green, Mary Ellen, John Michael, Caroline and Meredith Green, Gavin, Brendan, Mary Kate, Madeline and Genevieve Green, Sutton, Hobson, Ave Lillygreen, Anneliese and Greta Green. Dear Brother of the late Alice Foy, Marge Moss, Rosemary Small & Joseph GreenJohn, also known as “Jack” to his family, practiced dentistry for many years in the Beverly area and Oak Lawn. As a seminarian at St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, he cherished the many friendships of priests and bishops in the Chicago Archdiocese. John was a proud captain in the United States Air Force Dental Corps. As a dentist on Chicago’s Southside, Dr. Green provided compassionate and skillful care for thousands of patients for 58 years. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Catherine of Alexandria where he served as usher, lector and eucharistic minister. Visitation Wednesday October 3, 3:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn. Family & Friends to meet Thursday October 4th for 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 10621 S. Kedvale, Oak Lawn. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
