John Felcan

John Felcan Jr., age 79, of Des Plaines, formerly of Park Ridge, quietly passed away January 9, 2018, surrounded by his daughters. Beloved husband for 48 years of the late Rosejeanne (nee Gulino), and dear brother of the late Irene Sayers. Loving father of Krista (Christopher) Karabin and Jennifer (Mark) FelcanSmith; adored grandfather of Lochlan, Mirin, Luke, and Keegan; dear uncle and lifelong friend to many. John proudly served in the US Army 1st Infantry Division quartermaster section and humored that he was sent into combat with a sewing machine. He will be remembered for his passion for sports, Montana travel stories and watercolor painting talent. Above all else, we will miss his kindness and sincere devotion to friends and family. Visitation will begin on Saturday, February 17th at Cumberland Chapels (FRIEL FUNERAL DIRECTORS) 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge from 10:00 A.M. until time of Memorial Service 11:00 A.M.. The interment will be held privately. A Funeral luncheon will follow the memorial Service at the Cucina Biagio Restaurant 7319 W. Lawrence Ave., Harwood Heights.
