John "Jack" Collins

John "Jack" Collins, Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully in Tampa Florida on October 3, 2025. Jack was the beloved husband of Mary (nee Calvey) for 57 wonderful years; loving father of Erin (Cris Velasco) and John (Glenda) Collins and Kelly (David) Wood; dear son of the late Eleanor (nee Robinson) and the late John Collins; cherished grandfather of Kyrie Hood, Marcell Martinez, Marshall Wood, Emily Collins and Margo Wood; dearest brother of Tom (Diedre), Dan (Mimi) and Mark (Colleen) Collins, and brother in law of Barbara Kahler, Jim (Marilyn), Patrick (Debra) Dennis (Janice) and the late Ed (Paula) Calvey and the late Therese Garcia. Jack was a fond uncle to many.
A graduate of Southern Illinois University, and a member of Alpha Kappa Phi Fraternity, Jack was a C.P.A. by trade. He was very active with the Boy Scouts of America, and he had been a Silver Beaver Award recipient, a Member of the Order of the Arrow, Head of the Pathfinder District and served as a Troop Leader.
