Joanne Ferrante-Casale (81), Naples, Florida, a life-long resident of Chicago before residing in Naples, Florida. Joanne was a beloved and loving daughter of the late Rosario (Angeline Airdo nee’ Cirrincione) Anzelmo, Wife to Philip M. Casale, retired CPD, Mother to Debra J. DeGrasse and Mark V. Ferrante, Step-mother to Leslie Casale, John (Lynn) Casale and Philip (Shelly) Casale. Sister of Carl (Peggy) Anzelmo and James Airdo. Niece of Frank Stefanich and Josephine nee’ Cirrincione Davito. Aunt to Christopher (Shelly) Anzelmo and Dina nee’ Anzelmo (John) Bown. Step-grandmother to Jack (Elisa), Clayton, Jake and Luke Casale. Cousin to many and loved by all who ever met her. Starting in high school as a receptionist, Joanne worked for 27 years, quickly rising to be the office manager at the Division Chevrolet in Chicago for her employers, Donald (Sybil) Cohen and the late Max (the late Annie) Cohen who embraced her as their family. Her smile lit up all rooms that she entered and her warmth could be felt immediately upon meeting her. As a single mother who raised her children on her own, she always had boundless energy for her family and friends and she was always the coolest mom in the neighborhood. Her fierce loyalty and warmth remains with us. Visitation Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Cumberland Chaples 8300 W. Lawrence Ave, Norridge , IL. Funeral Friday, December 15th, beginning at the funeral at 9:30A.M. and the proceeding to St. Priscilla Church for 10:30 A.M. Mass. Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
