Joan Scrima

Joan V. "Joanie" Scrima affectionately known as "Auntie Cookie" passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024. Joan was the dearest daughter of the late Loretta, nee Grasso, and the late Leonard Scrima; dear sister of Richard (the late Phyllis) Scrima, June Kernaghan, and the late Theresa Scrima, the late Lorraine (the late Richard) La Gongle, the late Leonard "Bobby" (Judith) Scrima, the late Helen (the late Robert) Foster, the late Michael (the late Betty) and the late Anthony "Tony" (Madelyn) Scrima, and she was a beloved aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.



Joanie was an accomplished equestrian and owner of her beloved horse Scottie.



Visitation Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home, and we will proceed to All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines for the entombment. For more information call (708)456-8300.
