Joan Polsinelli

Joan Polsinelli, age 101, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026. Joan was the loving wife of the late T. Charles Polsinelli for 50 wonderful years; beloved sister of the late Lawrence J. Mente; dear daughter of the late Lawrence Mente and the late Kathryn G. Mente (nee Luxen); cherished aunt of Andrew, Kate, Philip (Amy), Suzanne, Sarah, and Julie.

Joan was a devoted teacher of deaf students for Chicago Public Schools, followed by many years at the Chicago Hearing Society. She was a world traveler and award winning photographer. 

Contributions in Joan's name may be made to the Dr. Peter L Mente Undergraduate Biomedical Engineering Scholarship Fund at North Carolina State University.
