Jesus “Chuy” Razo passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on December 8, 1943, in Guadalajara, Mexico, Chuy was a man full of life who made best friends wherever he went. In his early 20s, he joined the police academy in Guadalajara, seeking to make a difference. Soon after, he made the brave decision to move to the United States in search of better opportunities.

Chuy worked various jobs throughout his career but eventually found his true passion driving semi trucks. His love for the road and the freedom it provided became a defining part of his life. Alongside his work, he had an unshakable love for Las Chivas, and Chicago sports, especially the Chicago Bulls during the Jordan era and the Chicago Bears. He could always be found cheering for his teams with enthusiasm.

An avid cinema aficionado - a fancy way of saying he loved watching movies - Chuy was rarely seen without his portable DVD player, discovering new films with the same joy and excitement as a child unwrapping a gift. His love of movies was irresistible often sparking conversations and debates with family and friends alike.

Above all, Chuy cherished his family. Along with the his wife, his three boys were the pride and joy of his life, and he poured all of his love and dedication into raising them. Family gatherings were never complete without Chuy’s bright spirit, and he was always happiest when surrounded by those he loved. A deeply God-fearing man, Chuy lived as an example of faith, integrity, and kindness, offering support and encouragement to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Don Chuy is remembered for his unwavering love, his magnetic personality, and his ability to bring people together. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched and the legacy of love he left behind.

Jesús is survived by his loving wife, Beatriz, with whom he shared many beautiful years. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising three sons: Jesse, Alex (Valerie), and Samuel (Jennifer) and grandchildren, great grandchildren: Jessica, Yesenia, Dasia, Monique, Alinah, Amahti, Alayna, Jalaiah, Audrey, Violette.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge.  Funeral services will begin on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, then proceed to St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.  Those wishing to order flowers can contact Magic Flowers in Harwood Heights at 708-867-8996.

Jesús "Chuy" Razo falleció el 15 de Septiembre de 2024, a la edad de 80 años. Nació el 8 de Diciembre de 1943 en Guadalajara, México. Chuy fue un hombre lleno de vida que hizo amigos dondequiera que iba. De joven , se unió a la academia de policía en Guadalajara, con el deseo de marcar la diferencia. Después, tomó la valiente decisión de mudarse a los Estados Unidos en busca de mejores oportunidades.

Chuy trabajó en varios empleos a lo largo de su carrera, pero eventualmente encontró su verdadera pasión conduciendo camiones de carga pesada. Su amor por la carretera y la libertad que le brindaba se convirtieron en una parte fundamental de su vida. Junto con su trabajo, tenía un amor por Las Chivas y los deportes de Chicago, especialmente los Chicago Bulls durante la era de Jordan y los Chicago Bears. Siempre se le podía encontrar animando a sus equipos con entusiasmo.

Un ávido aficionado al cine - una forma elegante de decir que le encantaba ver películas - Chuy rara vez se veía sin su reproductor de DVD portátil, descubriendo nuevas películas con la misma alegría y emoción que un niño al abrir un regalo. Su amor por las películas era contagioso y provocaba conversaciones con familiares y amigos.

Sobre todo, Chuy valoraba a su familia. Junto con su esposa, sus tres hijos eran el orgullo y la alegría de su vida, y dedicó todo su amor y esfuerzo en criarlos. Las reuniones familiares nunca estaban completas sin el brillante espíritu de Chuy y siempre era más feliz cuando estaba rodeado de sus seres queridos. Un hombre profundamente temeroso de Dios, Chuy vivió como ejemplo de fe, integridad y bondad, ofreciendo apoyo y aliento a todos los que tuvieron la suerte de cruzarse en su camino.

Don Chuy es recordado por su amor de la vida, su personalidad magnética y su capacidad para unir a las personas. Su memoria vivirá a través de las incontables vidas que tocó y el legado de amor que dejó.

Jesús es sobrevivido por su amada esposa, Beatriz, con quien compartió muchos años hermosos. Juntos, construyeron una familia fuerte y amorosa, criando a tres hijos: Jesse, Alex (Valerie) y Samuel (Jennifer), asi como nietas y bisnietas:  Jessica, Yesenia, Dasia, Monique, Alinah, Amahti, Alayna, Jalaiah, Audrey, y Violette.
