Jerzy Macko

Jerzy "Jurek' Macko, age 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025, with family at his side. Jurek was the beloved husband of 54 years to Maria (nee Grzesik); loving father of Jolanta (Kazimierz) Chlon, Andrzej (Ania) Macko, Marcin (Sylwia) Macko and Lukasz (Ida) Macko; dearest son of the late Stefania (nee Kubielas) and the late Jozef Macko; cherished grandfather of Ewelina Chlon, Kasia (AJ) Sauseda, Klaudia, Michal, Kamil, Marcel, Leo and Noah Macko; great grandfather of Luca; dear brother of Zofia (Zdzislaw) Giza and the late Stanislaw (Janina), the late Jozef and the late Dominik (Teresa) Macko, and he was a fond uncle of many.

Jerzy was a member of the Chor Collegium Cantorum  Polonia Chicago.

Visitation Friday, May 2, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Hyacinth Basilica 3636 W. Wolfram Ave., Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery in Niles. For more information call (708)456-8300.
