Jerry Krug

Jerry Krug, age 81, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2020 at his home with his loving family by his side. Jerry was the beloved husband of Donna, nee Hedrich, for 60 wonderful years; loving father of Frank R. Krug and Patricia (John) Gatto; cherished grandfather of Jimmy and Serafina Gatto; dearest brother of Bonnie (Jim) Hires and the late Patricia (Robert) Campbell and his twin sister the late Joan Twarowski; dear brother in-law of Terry (Beverly) Burke, Barbara (Bob) Olson, Judy (Gary) Niedorkorn, Mary (Bill) O'Connor, (The late Butch Slominski (Jackie) and he was a fond uncle of many. Jerry was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Harwood Heights for over 30 years, a proud member of the National Association of Letter Carriers, and a Crossing Guard for the City of Park Ridge for ten years. In lieu of flowers, donations to: The Rainbow Hospice at www.rainbowhospice.org or the Chicago Food Depository at www.chicagosfoodbank.org would be appreciated. Visitation Monday, December 28, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Due to the current health guidelines, we are limited to 10 attendees at a time. We kindly ask that you quickly exit the funeral home after paying your respects to the family so that all visitors have an opportunity to enter. Please wear masks and use proper social distancing. Until further notice, the coffee room is not available for use. Please refrain from bringing food or beverage into the funeral home. Immediately following, services at the funeral home there will be a brief (30 min) outdoor memorial service at the Crucifixion Garden Mausoleum in St. Joseph Cemetery of River Grove, IL.
