Jeannette Hamilton

Jeannette Hamilton, age 89, at rest on September 5, 2026. Jeannette was born on October 29, 1936, to the late Frank and the late Marie Engel. She was the beloved wife of Jim Hamilton, with whom she shared 71 wonderful years of marriage.

Jeannette was the loving mother of Steven Hamilton, Sheri (Dean) Cichon and Jackie (Patrick) Yerkes. Cherished grandmother of Mark Hamilton, Brian (Grecia) Hamilton, Christine (Andrew) Dahm, Matthew (Aoife) Yerkes, Kevin (Audrey) Hamilton, Erin (Michael) Nicholas, Emily (Grant) Park, Daniel Hamilton, Jamie Yerkes, Elizabeth Hamilton and Rosie Hamilton. She was the proud great-grandmother of Rivers, Runi, Harper and Sophie. Dear sister of the late LaVerne (the late Howard) Roulo.

Jeannette’s greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment spent together and took great pride in watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Her family was always her main concern, and she was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. She cherished each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and created a lifetime of memories that will remain in their hearts forever.

Jeannette will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the warmth she brought to her family, and the devotion she showed throughout her life. Her family was her greatest blessing, and although she will be deeply missed, her love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched.

Visitation for Jeannette will take place on Friday, September 18, 2026 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Illinois. The funeral will take place the following day on Saturday, beginning at the funeral home at 8:15 am and then proceed to St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Northlake for 9:30 am Mass. Interment will be private.
