Jeanette Alice Beljung

Jeanette Alice Beljung (Gunsteen), age 92, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026. Jeanette was the beloved wife of the late Michael C., Sr.; loving mother of Michelle D. (Scott) Krueger and Michael C., Jr. (Jackie) Beljung; dear daughter of the late Mabel (Nelson) and the late Daniel Gunsteen; cherished grandmother of Ashley (Michael) Kass, Jacob (Ellie) and Joshua Krueger, Maximus Beljung and great grandmother of Wesley Kass; dearest sister of the late Howard, Clarence (Kay), Edmond (Helen), Gladys Cousineau, Daniel (Mary), Dorothy Thill, Leonard, Leroy (Phyllis), and sister in-law of Martin (Angela), Bailey Beljung and Anna Rapisarda.

Throughout her life, she found joy in life's simple pleasures. She lovingly crocheted countless blankets, each one a gift made with patience, care, and love for family and friends. A devoted Chicago sports fan, she faithfully cheered on the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears through every season, celebrating the victories and remaining loyal through the challenges. Her warmth, generous spirit, and the memories she created will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation Friday, August 28, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Friends and family will gather at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, for a Funeral Service beginning at 10:30 a.m. The interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Chicago.
