Emogene “Jean” Locascio, age 89, passed away on November 25, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Jasper ”Jay” Locascio. Loving mother of Joe (Ji) Locascio, Debra (Robert) Anderson, the late Richard Locascio, and Mark (Allison) Locascio. Adoring grandmother of Vince Rogers, Lainie (Paul) Mercurio, Joe Locascio, Tracy (Matthew) Sawyer, Robin (Scott) Bashaar, Michelle Locascio, Grant Martin, Benjamin Martin, Natalie Martin, Julia Martin and Jia Locascio. Dearest great-grandmother of Samantha Locascio, Paul Mercurio, Mary Mercurio, Veronica Mercurio, Emma Sawyer, Anne Mercurio, Rachel Sawyer, Haley Sawyer, Alyssa Bashaar, Abby Bashaar, and Peter Mercurio. Fond great-great-grandmother of Aubriella Rojas. Beloved sister of the late Lilly Ruth (Robert) Cross, the late Margaret Louise (Elijah “Bud”) Rawls, Mary Lou (Leon) Baggett, Ernest (Betty) Morris, and Helen Sue (Charles) Judge. Cherished friend to many.Jean was a kind, caring woman, passionately devoted to her family. She worked in the family businesses and also volunteered her time to the Salvation Army for nearly 20 years. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30th from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. The funeral will take place Thursday, December 1st beginning at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. and then proceeding to Divine Savior Church, 7740 W Montrose Ave, Norridge, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. followed by Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 4921 Harrison St, Hillside.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) would be appreciated.
