Jean Agnes Brown. Born and raised in Chicago. A graduate of Lucy Flower High School. Soon after high school she met and fell for a young paratrooper and would be husband Kenneth Brown. Jean was the matriarch of the Brown family. Mom was a good listener and readily gave advice, telling you what you needed to hear as opposed to what you wanted to hear…she was more concerned for you than your feelings. She always went over and above for her family, whether it was championing a family cause, attending various sporting events, or cooking for the family. It wasn't uncommon for her to cook entire meals on holidays, making sure everyone got their favorite dish. Her holiday baked goods were the best. However, her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Jean was very loving and incredibly resilient.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth J. Brown. They were married for 68 years. She is also preceded in death by her Mother Helen Thompson, Stepfather Bruce Thompson, Sister Mary Ann Frankowski, Brother-in-law, Alex Frankowski, Sister-in-law, Viginia Pfaffenberger and Brother-in-law, Ron Pfaffenberger.
Jean is survived by her four sons, Paul Brown, wife, Nancy Brown, Peter Brown, wife, Diane Brown, Patrick Brown, wife Jennifer Brown, and Phillip Brown, wife Maureen Brown.
Jean is also survived by her grandchildren, Jason, Jacquelyn, Megan, Carey, Zachary, Michaela, Hannah, Aden, Justin, Ethan, Hayden, Ryan, Collin, and great grandson Cillian.
The couple enjoyed traveling the world together and now will spend eternity together.
The Brown family loved her deeply and will miss her forever and always.
