Janina Szwarc

Janina M. Szwarc passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Born August 19, 1927 in Poland, survivor of Nazi occupation and labor camps in Germany, she came to the U.S. and made her home in Chicago later residing in Norridge. She enjoyed crafting, home dcor, cooking, traveling, and gardening. She will be missed by her beloved friend Dennis, her devoted niece Dorothy, loving great nephew, Kevin and numerous friends. She is preceded in death by her late parents Helena and Jan Szwarc and sister Zofia Brodziak. Visitation Monday, February 29, 2016 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral Services begin Monday 11:00 am at the Funeral Home and will proceed to St. Constance Church for 12:00 pm Mass.
