Jan Tyda

Jan M. Tyda, age 67, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2025.

Beloved wife of the late Bruce.  Loving mother of Jeffrey Tyda. Cherished daughter of the late John and Joan O’Connor. Loving sister of Susan (Louis) Liotine, Thomas (Brenda) O’Connor, and Michael O’Connor. Devoted Auntie Jan to Julie, Anne, Emilie, John Paul, Charlie, Lauren, Kristen, and Kevin, and proud great-auntie of eight. She will also be deeply missed by many special friends.

Jan dedicated over 40 years to a successful career in the banking industry, where she was admired for her professionalism, warmth, and kindness. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her generous spirit and caring nature.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, Illinois. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will proceed to Queen of Peace Parish at St. Eugene Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Committal service to follow at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, Illinois.

Jan will be remembered with love for her warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family and friends.
