Jan Lesny

Jan Lesny, age 81, passed away on June 12th surrounded by his loving family. Jan was the beloved husband of Maria, nee Wegrzyniak, for 59 wonderful years; loving father of Henry (Anna) and Andrew (Maria) Lesny; cherished grandfather of Peter (Michelle) and Mark Lesny, Kathy (Wesley) Evans, Monica (Matthew) Bobek, Tom, Veronica, Paul and Lukas Lesny; great grandfather of Jacob Bobek, Emily Lesny and Christian Evans; dear brother of Jozef Lesny, Katarzyna Bodyziak and Jan was preceded in death by 4 other siblings. He was a fond uncle to many, and he was a member of the Polish Highlanders. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Rosalie Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Mary Mother of God Mausoleum in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
