James Van Vorous

James W. 'Jim' Van Vorous, age 85, U.S.M.C/Korea, passed away on March 11. Jim was the beloved husband of Dolores G., nee Hinchey, for 60 wonderful years; loving father of Mary (Steve) Mikos and Jamie (Mary) Van Vorous; cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Rich) Benavides, Alexander (Genesis) and Daniel Mikos and Remy Van Vorous and great grandfather of Ryan, Daniel and Jacob; dear brother of the late Richard (the late Virginia) Van Vorous; fond uncle of many. Jim was a 4th Degree Grand Knight of the Knight's of Columbus and a past commander of the River Grove American Legion Post #335. Visitation Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral Services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Beatrice Church, in Schiller Park, for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Ridgewood Memorial Park Cemetery.
