James "J.J." V. Ikonomou, age 66, at rest on November 11, 2024. Loving husband of the late Donna (nee Kucab). Devoted father of William Ikonomou. Cherished son of Katherine (nee Kotsonis) and the late Vasilios Ikonomou. Fond cousin of John (Larissa) Sizos. JJ was more than just a name; he was a beacon of warmth and joy, a good-hearted individual whose laughter could light up even the darkest rooms. He had a unique ability to make those around him feel special, appreciated, and loved. His infectious, genuine, spirited and good heart created lasting friendships that will be cherished forever. At the core of JJ was a devoted son. He honored his mother with unwavering love and care, always putting her needs before his own. He understood the value of family, nurturing those bonds with a tenderness that only a loving son could possess. His compassion wasn’t limited to his own family; it radiated outward, touching everyone who was fortunate enough to know him.he was a loving father and a loving son and a kind hearted soul rest in peace. and fly like an eagle free and strong into the sunset.

Visitation for James will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, I. Funeral Friday, Beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 am and then proceed to Transfiguration of our Savior in Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, II. for 10:00 am Service. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
