James Domico, U.S. Navy WWII, born on Feb. 21, 1921 in Chicago, IL to Antoinette (Caporale) and Guiseppe D'Amico. 'He passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday night, Oct. 7, 2012.' He married Ersilia Quintiliani on Sept. 27, 1941. She passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 14, 1978 and he spent the rest of his life grieving the loss of his beloved Ersilia. Three children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren survive, beloved daughter and family, Sandra (Domico) and Mike Morgan, Michael Morgan, Benjamin, Nicholas and Emma Morgan; beloved son and family, Joseph and Kate (Sikorski) Domico, Dr. Matthew and Patricia (Lynch) Domico, and Jason Domico; and beloved daughter and family, Sharon (Domico) Hudson, Elissa (Hudson) and Brett Duncan and Kaleigh Hudson. James served his country in the USN Sea Bees. He worked tirelessly to provide well for his family often working three jobs. He retired at the age of 85 as the Assistant to the Commissioner of Cook County Building and Zoning. He enjoyed spending time with friends, watching sports of all kinds, playing baseball in his younger years and golf in his later years. He lived alone until May of 2012 at which time he transitioned to the nurturing environment of Autumn Leaves Memory Care in Orland Park. May God embrace him with his love and forgiveness and walk with him always. Visitation Monday from 8 to 10 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral Services will begin Monday, 10 a.m. at the funeral home and proceed to St. Eugene Church for Mass, 10:30 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
